Adam’s Polishes car care products have an almost cult-like following, so it’s not surprising that hundreds of loyal customers lined up for the grand opening of Adam’s newest retail store on September 21, in Anaheim, California.
The driving force behind the company’s success is owner and founder, Adam Pitale, who eagerly greeted every customer as they entered the store. Taking photos and signing autographs for people, many of whom have watched Pitale in countless how-to videos online.
Pitale was thrilled to meet one of his youngest customers, 13-year-old Yakiz Palacios, who proudly gave his business card to the Adam’s founder and showed him a photo of his detailing rig that he tows behind his bicycle. That seemed to strike a chord with Pitale, a California native from San Juan Capistrano who started his first business, repairing and cleaning bicycles, when he was nine years old. In junior high he moved on to detailing cars.
In 2000, it was his detailing business that led to the development of his own polishes, waxes, and eventually a complete line of car care products. The company has seen tremendous growth since its humble beginnings at the Orange County Swap Meet. In 2009. Pitale moved the company and manufacturing to Colorado. The central location made it easier to ship product and to attend regional trade shows.
According to Pitale, almost two-thirds of sales are direct to consumer through their online store. You can also buy Adam’s Polishes on Amazon and at GM dealerships nationwide, where Adam’s is the official car-care product for Corvette and Camaro.
The Anaheim location will not only handle walk-in business, it will also be the distribution point for online orders shipping to the west coast. Located at 725 N Shepard Street in Anaheim, store hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Adam’s Polishes has been a supporter of SCMM from the very beginning. Adam has hosted DIY clinics for club members as well has donating product samples and complete detail kits that the club has used for raffle prizes and goodie bags.
